What it is:

Fu Ling, or poria fungus, is a sweet, bland, and neutral herb used in TCM to tonify the Spleen, leach out dampness, and calm the spirit. It is associated with the Heart, Spleen, and Kidney meridians. Fu Ling is known for its ability to tonify the Spleen Qi, promote urination, and calm the mind. It is often used in formulas to treat patterns of Spleen Qi deficiency with dampness, such as edema, diarrhea, and insomnia.
